Does anybody know, why the native ATI drivers should not work without BootCamp (i.e. by using only the legacy-free EFI BIOS?). Does the ATI driver access the BIOS?

I would like to use the native ATI driver and use GPT partitioning scheme (with elilo)...

Yes, the ATI driver needs the BIOS. I'm currently researching the API to control the CSM, with the goal of finding a call to enable the BIOS, but stay in EFI and boot through elilo. Chrisp 02:48, 19 April 2006 (PDT)
