Talk:Main Page
From Mactel-Linux
Hi, I've gathered some information about the available patches. maybe you find it useful and link it from the main page? thx --Steiny 08:56, 28 July 2006 (PDT)
Revisions to the Main Page
The main page doesn't link to the many good resources in this wiki. It's unorganized. Also, it would be nice to have links or summaries to pages that have information about how to run linux under different distros (Fedora, Gentoo, etc). It's hard to find a lot of the good information. What do you guys think? --Apoth 23:45, 11 August 2006 (PDT)
lsusb should be added to the system outputs list. --Slinkygn 00:59, 30 January 2007 (PST)
I agree with the (old) comment by Apoth. I added links to distro-specific pages on the Howto page, since I can't edit this one...
Ready to Contribute
So is there a general way of going about adding to this wiki or does one just have at it. I have just successfully installed OSX WinXP and Fedora Core 6 on to a macbook (blackbook), got the wifi working(in all three os's) and things seem to be runnign ok now. So should I just throw together my guide for this or is there red tape to plow through? Let me know, I have school and work so I thought I would build the guide over the course of a week or so. I look forward to contributing because the guides on this wiki, although not exactly what I was looking for, helped me reach my ultimate goal. -Robb
I'm mostly a visitor myself to this page, so if others disagree, just say so. Rob, I would think you should just put your guide together. There aren't that many of them yet and at this point I think it's useful to collect all the possible variations of how the installation went. Perhaps provide most detail with what you found the hardest part, or had to search for the most. That may help others as well. --Gjanssens 11:20, 24 February 2007 (PST)
svn link broken
the svn-link in the navigation bar should point to http://mactel-linux.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/mactel-linux
