macbook pro appletouch and special keyboard keys work:

in kernel configuration, Device Drivers -> USB Support:

  • disable USB HID Boot Protocol drivers (both mouse and keyboard)
  • enable USB Human Interface Device (full HID) support, and HID input layer support, and Enable support for iBook/PowerBook special keys (all as built-in)

New drivers for ATI, it seems they support X1600 (not tested yet): https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/linux_8.24.8.html ATI Drivers work, but only with BootCamp. For kernel 2.6.16 you need patches to compile. I found them at the gentoo portage system.

New input from PTH 15-May-2006

My Intel MM core mono boots Ubuntu 606 beta2 via XP chainloader. At boot the terminal screen starts OK then messes up - seems to ignore line feeds. X sets up auto, correct, runs fast and stable. Wired enet normal, wireless doesn't work until you install and set up madwifi-ng. Wireless connections are variable in speed. Bluetooth not working but intermittent connections made - might succeed here. USB stick and USB printer work. CD writing not tried. Sound not working despite no signs of device recognition problems.

What about the official ATI driver? You said that with bootCamp, we can't get full screen resolution yet. Is it also with this driver or do we have full graphic support?
